Safety
First
It
is the policy of Coleman Spohn Corporation that all aspects
of its operations shall be conducted in a safe and healthful
manner, so as to prevent injuries to persons and damage
to property. We incorporate safety into all aspects of
our company’s work both in the office and in the
field. Additionally, we send employees to the OSHA 30
hour and 10 hour training courses for a complete understanding
of the techniques available, which can be implemented
to prevent injury. Furthermore, we also require that all
subcontractors abide by the safety rules and regulations
as established by the General Contractor, Coleman Spohn,
and OSHA. We understand how important the lack of accidents
is to our own employees and to the customers we serve.
Recently,
we have stepped up our level of safety in the field by
making it mandatory that all field workers wear protective
eye gear. Since eye injuries are the number one recordable
injury in our trade, we are confronting this threat head
on. All employees have had protective eyewear of their
own choosing distributed to them. All protective eyewear
used is 100% OSHA compliant. We believe that fewer injuries
also mean increased productivity, which is the key to
higher standards in our work.
Lastly,
we have implemented a drug free work place. Random testing
is currently being administered. We know that a work force
free of drugs and alcohol will produce a better product
for our clients, as well as enable our standard of “Safety
First” to be a success.
UPDATE:
To further show our commitment to safety, we were
the recipients of the 2004-2005 MCAA safety award. We were selected as the
company with the best safety rating nationally, amongst all of the country's mechanical
contractors.
